Cancellation & Refund Policy
DAY CAMPS
- 100% refund for sessions cancelled by Waves Surf School
- 85% refund or 100% credit on cancellations made more that 7 days (8+ days) prior to the scheduled activity date
- 50% credit on cancellations made within 7 days and more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled activity date
- No refund or credit is available for cancellations made less that 48 hours prior to scheduled activity date
- Bookings are fully transferable to another participant attending on the same date, provided it is organised by the cancelling party.
OVERNIGHT CAMPS
- 100% credit for any overnight cancelled by Waves Surf School
- 50% refund or 85% credit for cancellations made more than 14 days (15+ days) prior to the scheduled camp start date
- No refund or credit available for cancellations made within 14 days prior to scheduled activity start date
- Bookings are 100% transferable to another attending on the same dates, provided it is organised by cancelling party
Weather Policy
Waves Surf School will only cancel if weather conditions are deemed unsafe to run SAFELY.
Rainy and Stormy Weather – trips are not cancelled due to rain and storms. In the case of thunderstorms, all surfers will be evacuated from the water until the thunder passes.
Extreme weather events – when extreme weather affects Sydney’s eastern beaches, there are usually options of protected beaches, that create surfable waves when our regular beaches are un-surfable. Waves Surf School will make the decision to run or cancel on the morning of the trip in such cases.
Flat Weather Conditions – times like these we practice still water skills such as duck diving, paddling, and manoeuvring. We also spend time at nearby skate parks, to practice on-land surf skills. (Skateboard equipment supplied). Adventure activities such as waterfall walks and lagoon swimming sometimes substitute surfing, if the surf conditions are deemed unsafe.
